The oil painting of Gerhald Wenzel shows a magnificent prospect of the castle bridge in Berlin. Some boats are lying on the river, magnificent buildings rise behind the bridge. During World War II, the bridge was damaged. Restored the bridge was named Marx-Engels Bridge in 1951. In 1991, on the first anniversary of the German reunification, the bridge received back its original name.
Painting and frame are in very good condition. The canvas is signed lower left. The overall dimensions are 31.5 x (framed) 52 cm and 20 x 40 cm (board).
