Aguessy studied industrial and interior design at Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design in London. He established his own studio in Paris in 2008 and gained recognition for his collaboration with Coca-Cola the following year. His research into new manufacturing technologies led him to found the first Fab Lab in Porto Novo, Benin, in 2012, demonstrating his commitment to sustainable energy solutions. Notably, Aguessy became the first designer of African descent to have a dedicated section in the French contemporary arts and design museum in 2013.
His works have been exhibited in significant group shows, including the Global Africa Project at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York City. Aguessy's art is part of several prestigious collections, including the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Museum of Arts and Design in New York.
