Notes : Provenance: The Todd Gordon Collection of African Art Collected by Mr Meiring Sr, a South Africa land surveyor, in Zimbabwe in the 1880s, and passed by descent through the family. Purchased Sotheby's New York, 19 May 2000 (Lot 287)Condition report : - Top section has an old break and loss. Otherwise, it does not appear to be restored. - some old chips and losses, as well as surface scratches. - Patination looks fairly even throughout.
