Description : Pair of African masks, probably Makonde, ebony made of heavy ebony wood. Very finely and intricately carved masks with pattern on the face and open mouth with teeth made of bone. For hanging. Good condition with few signs of age and use. 20th c. H. 30cm each. Paar afrikanische Masken, wohl Makonde, Ebenholz aus schwerem Ebenholz. Sehr fein und aufwändig geschnitzte Masken mit Muster auf dem Gesicht und geöffnetem Mund mit Zähnen aus Bein. Zum Aufhängen. Guter Zustand mit wenigen Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren. 20. Jh.
