Description : AFRICAN TRIBAL ART, LUBA-SONGE CARVED WOOD MASK, KIFWEBE SOCIETY - (Democratic Republic of the Congo) Masks in the Luba-Songe style are distinguished by the broad raised band bisecting the forehead, almond shaped eyes and square cut mouth. Twisted fiber surrounds the face and neck, color pigments are red, black and white. Unmarked. Condition good, small hole in facial wood. Mid-20th century.
