Fetishes (from the Portuguese word feitio, meaning artificial, or false), ‘an inanimate object worshiped for its supposed magical powers or because it is considered to be inhabited by a spirit.‘ Wooden doll has leather sewn over an open carved stomach. Doll measures approx 8.5 inches in height by 2.25 inches in diameter. Doll has surface wear consistent with age.
