This mask is believed to be a female mask due to its flattened round head crest. Female masks exude beauty, tranquility and inner peace. They are not aggressive, unlike their male counterpart, either in their appearance or in their behavior. The dancer who wears the female mask displays more gentle and controlled movements and is assumed to be associated with reproduction ceremonies. The mask is also believed to have the capacity to heal by means of the supernatural force it was supposed to incorporate.
