This is the rating and price for Egyptology Document

Description : Typed Egyptology document hinting at the power struggle between Egypt and archaeologists over the finds in Egypt's Valley of the Kings, including King Tut's tomb, which captured the world's attention in the early 1920's. Partial letter is written in French, the second and final page of a letter signed by the Minister of Egypt in London, Aziz Izzet, to the Director of Policy and Consular Affairs for Egypt. Izzet proposes a propaganda document with the goal of casting Egypt's handling of the tomb excavations in a favorable light: ''...The review...will show how much care the Egyptian government will take of the historical monuments which have been entrusted to them, and that the Antiquities Service is worthy and is one of the top amongst all the other similar European agencies. This new way of scientific propaganda will shine Egypt in a very favorable light and Egypt will gain more sympathies amongst its people, the European Government and the American Government...'' Single-page document measures 8.25'' x 13''. Toning and a few numerical notations to sheet, else near fine. With full translation.
