Title : Egyptian Turquoise Glazed Composition Jasmine Blossom Bead Necklace
Size : 14½ in. (35.8 cm.) long
Provenance : Formerly in the collection of Henry Wallis (1830-1916). In later life the Pre-Raphaelite artist, Wallis, became a noted scholar and collector of antiquities, his publications included works on Egyptian, Classical, Medieval and Islamic art. Wallis travelled widely in the Mediterranean and Egypt, where he met the archaeologist Sir W. M. Flinders Petrie.
