Description : Early Dynastic Period, 3150-2686 BC. A carved jasper pendant with pierced heart-shaped upper section, waisted lower panel with hatching to one face and a reserved triangle to the other with three roundels, possibly the tit symbol later associated with the goddess Isis. Property of a South West London gentleman, acquired by his father in the 1970s, by descent 1986. See Andrews, C. Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, p.44-5 for discussion. 20 grams, 68mm (2 3/4).
