Description : Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A gorgeous and wearable necklace in the form of an Egyptian pectoral broad collar, formed from dozens of beads including tubular faience beads in aqua blue and green-brown hues, modern cylindrical coral beads, and hundreds of faience seed beads. The necklace is arranged in a three row configuration with seed beads separating each band of tube beads, with a fringe border of smaller tube beads with seed beads terminals. All of the components are held together with metal wire, and the terminals are capped with a small loop and circular clasp. A similarly-constructed pair of earrings accompanies the necklace with screw-post clasps on top. Size (necklace): 9 W x 9 H (22.9 cm x 22.9 cm), size (earrings): 3.75 H (9.5 cm).
