L'autore, chierico barnabita, appassionato di antichità egizie, potè studiare i suddetti artefatti poiché posseduti nella collezione privata del cardinale Luigi Lambruschini. La tavola incisa ripiegata illustra i suddetti vasi canopi. 8vo, 190x125 mm, Cardboard binding. Pp. 31, [1]. 1 folded plate. Good specimen with margins. First edition. Descriptive dissertation on 4 alabaster canopic jars found in the necropolis of Saqqara, one of the main ones of ancient Memphis. The author, a Barnabite cleric, passionate about Egyptian antiquities, was able to study the aforementioned artifacts as they were owned in the private collection of Cardinal Luigi Lambruschini. The folded engraved table illustrates the aforementioned canopic jars.
