This is a scarce stated fourth edition of a work fist published in 1890. This antique volume is bound in flexible brown cloth with bright stamped gilt lettering to the spine and front cover. The front cover has numerous Egyptian hieroglyphs stamped in gold. The volume contains numerous full-page and in-text illustrations, as well as a double-page color map at the front of the volume. Condition / Notes: The book shows moderate external wear, with bumping and a very small tear to the edges. The binding is firm. This volume has marbled edges and endpapers. The pages are generally clean and bright, with a few small spots of soiling or foxing to the fore edges.
