This is the rating and price for Congo Carved Wood Ceremonial Statue

Description : This is a Ceremonial statue from the Dominican Republic of the Congo created in the late 20th century. Smaller statues or miniatures would most often be created for the average person who did not have special status in the community. This, being a large piece was more likely created for someone who was of higher status or importance. The woven wrapping makes this piece even more unique in its use and presentation. Provenance:, These pieces were collected over a period of several decades out of collections from America and throughout Europe, including France, Germany, Belgium and Amsterdam beginning in the early 1960s. The items in this collection have been, identified by George Mack, former director of the Arizona African Art Museum. Whether you are a collector with a keen eye or simply intrigued and excited about artistic cultural artifacts, this piece makes a magnificent, addition to your collection! Piece is in good condition for its age, showing signs of use with a very nice patina
