This is the rating and price for Beautiful Banded Alabaster Vessel

Description : Ancient Egypt, Late Dynastic Period, 26th to 31st Dynasty, ca. 664 to 332 BCE. A heavy, well preserved alabastron, meticulously hand-carved from calcite alabaster and smoothed to have a beautiful surface that is cool and pleasing to the touch. The vessel displays a slightly rounded but stable base, a rotund body which tapers gently to a narrow neck, a small mouth, and a wide, slanting rim. Such vessels would have held precious scented oils or cosmetics for women to use after bathing as indicated by scenes on ancient vases depicting them in use. The narrow mouth prevented evaporation, while the wide rim was designed to catch every drop of precious liquid.
