Today, however, the ntomo society more closely resembles various western associations in its bureaucratic structure, and its administrative and membership fees., There are two main style groups for ntomo masks. The first have a line of four to ten vertical projections in a row above the face, resembling a comb. These projections were often covered with cowries or dried red berries, and signified, beliefs related to human creations.
