This is the rating and price for Bakongo Nkisi Nkondi Nail Fetish Sculpture

Description : African Bakongo Nkisi Nkondi Nail Fetish Sculpture. African Bakongo nail Fetishes were protective figures used by individuals, families, or whole communities to destroy or weaken evil spirits, prevent or cure illnesses, repel bad deeds, solemnize contracts or oath-taking, and decide arguments. A diviner or holy person would activate the statue, using magical substances. Fetishes gained power and were effective because people believed in them. These powerful fetishes were kept outside the homes to guard the owner and the owner's family from evil spirits, illness or bad intentions including the evil eye, witchcraft or magic. A small cavity called the power spot is present on the statue that contains power ingredients such as roots, herbs or other objects which is covered by a piece of glass or mirror. Approx.
