African carved wood dog bell decorated in incised patterns of geometric shapes and with a dog to the face with the interior hallowed and carved to accommodate the traditional bell. Yombe people, also known as the Kongo or Bakongo, are an ethnic group from Central Africa, primarily concentrated in the southwestern parts of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC), the Republic of Congo, and northern Angola. They are part of the larger Kongo ethnic group, which is one of the major Bantu-speaking ethnic groups in Africa. 6 1/2 H
