Description : B.C. Including a group of two black stone standing baboons with incised details worshipping the rising sun on the horizon in white stone, Ptolemaic Period, circa 300-30 B.C., 13/4in. (4.5cm.) height of each baboon, 19mm. high, two red jasper penannular earrings, four scarabs in steatite, hieroglyphic inscribed with a hare over a neb sign, good luck signs, life signs and other symbols, and an Egyptian blue scarab, hierglyphic inscribed on the underside with a neb, a djed and a maat sign, a Roman carnelian gem, inscribed with a naked male figure holding long stemmed plants, 13mm., a group of thirty-three ancient agate and carnelian beads of mainly barrel and spherical form, with a blue glass decorated barrel bead, damaged and a carnelian ring with crown-shaped bezel, finger size ~dq~B~dq~, 14mm. diam., Various Periods (a lot) Provenance: From a Swedish private collection. Acquired in Egypt between 1961-64.
