Description : LATE PERIOD, DYNASTY XXX (380-343 B.C.) Mummiform, with arms crossed holding pick and hoe, seed bag over left shoulder, wearing striated tripartite wig and false beard, nine horizontal lines of inscription from Chapter Six of the Book of the Dead, on integral mount with back pillar 9 in. (22.8 cm.) high NOTES The tomb of the owner was discovered by W. M. Flinders Petrie at Hawara in 1888, cf. H. D. Schneider, Shabtis, Part II, Leiden, 1977, p. 191, no. 5.3.1.188, for another example in the National Museum of Antiquities at Leiden.
