Description : Vintage woven Artisan bogolan or Bògòlanfini textile from Mali in Western Africa. Textile is made up of deep ochre yellow-brown and white tones. Measures approximately 64 inches in length by 43.5 inches in width. Some blemishes, imperfections to seams, and surface wear consistent with age and hand-made quality. Vintage textile, blanket, shawl, artisan textile, textile artist, Hand-Woven, West African Textiles, threadwork. ‘Bògòlanfini or bogolan (mud cloth) is a handmade Malian cotton fabric traditionally dyed with fermented mud. It has an important place in traditional Malian culture and has, more recently, become a symbol of Malian cultural identity.
