Description : Mask oba maoro add to watchlistVillage: Anaku, Benue State wood, remains of polychrome paint, of oval hollowed form, elongated pierced eyes are flanking a partly open-worked forehead-nose-ridge with horizontal incisions, surmounted by a high appendage with triangular piercings, pierced around the rim, fissures, slight signs of abrasion, on metal base, this mask was used in context of jurisdictional ceremonies.
