Description : Near Eastern Ceramic Tell el Yahudiyeh Ware Burnished Jug 1750-1650 BC. A mammiform slipware jug with discoid base, deep shoulder, narrow neck, everted rim and double strap handle. UK art market, acquired prior to 1980. 'Tell el-Yahudiyeh Ware' is a ceramic type of the late Middle Bronze Age (Second Intermediate Period) which derives its name from the site at Tell el-Yahudiyeh in the eastern Nile Delta of Egypt, ancient Neytahut or Leontoplis. 735 grams, 21 cm (8 1/4).
