Description : Standing male figure Mali, Malinke wood, blackish brown patina, reduced forms: elongated legs, broad box-shaped shoulders, head with flat chin and c-shaped ears, incised scarification marks, slightly dam., minor missing parts (mouth, hands), cracks, paint rubbed off, rep. (left foot), on base, there are only few figures, which can be attributed to the Malinke. They show a stylistic mixture influenced by the sculptural tradition of the Bamana, Mossi and Dogon.
