Description : Seven African Articles, one double crocodile motif mask possibly from the Baule people, early to mid 20th c., with linear embellishments, open mouths, scarification marks, and sectioned scorpion tail motif finials, (15.5 x 6 x 4.5). One mounted facial mask from the Dan people, mid to late 20th c., with metal work around the circular classic Dan-style eyes, and open mouth with metallic painted split-front teeth, (9.5 x 5.75 x 3.5). One contemporary abstracted carved figure with black horns, black feet and white body, with elongated neck and simplified linear accents, (13.25 x 4 x 2.75). One contemporary small cowry shell and reed basket, (3.25 x 3.5 dia.). One large white mask from the Fang people with classic Fang simplified features and black eyebrow ridge lining, mid to late 20th c., (23 x 8 x 9.5). One small leather abstract sculpture with cowry shell accents, with some staining and wear (6 x 2.75 x 2.5). One basket with fitted top and broken strap covered in cowry shell beading, the top has five separate compartments with fitted tops decorated with cowry shells, with domed bottom with two cracks, with age and wear (10 x 9 dia.). Some expected wear to Dan and double crocodile mask.
