Description : serial #CR255, 45-70, 34 part round, part octagon barrel with a bright excellent bore. This is a lovely rifle in superb condition. The barrel retains 99% original rust blue with 120th Anniversary / Of / The Creedmoor Rifle on the top barrel flat. The frame, block, hammer and buttplate are completely embellished with ornate scroll engraving with fine geometric bordering and a detailed game scene of a leopard attacking an African Plains antelope, the quality of the engraving is top notch and the frame and buttplate retain 99% original vibrant case-hardened colors. The checkered pistolgrip buttstock and forend are of beautifully figured American walnut and rate excellent featuring a German silver forend tip and show a couple of tiny handling marks that normally wouldn't warrant mention. Rifle is sighted with globe-style front sight and a long range Vernier-style tang sight is affixed. The original box with correct end label is included. A like-new Pedersoli commemorative rifle that truly belongs in a collection of finely engraved rolling blocks. (157349-11)
