Carved in the image of a scorpion this type of mask would be worn on the top of the head with either raffia or cloths attached to the rim and covering the dancer's body. Wood. Traces of paint, 22 inches L. This Authentic African Tribal Sculpture has been examined by Near Infrared (NIR) Spectroscopy and is approximately 140 years old. A certificate of the examination will accompany the artwork.
