This is the rating and price for Punu People Equatorial Guinea

Description : Property of Lynn University to benefit the Library Renovation Fund PUNU PEOPLE EQUATORIAL GUINEA A Maiden Spirit Ceremonial Dance Mask Bronze , the female face with slit eyes and a crested cast coiffure, an earring in her right ear, a band of woven raffia adorned with cowrie shells at base to which strand of raffia are attached. 33 by 22.8 cm (13 by 9 in.) Accompanied by appraisal for Lynn University by LEONARD KAHAN (African Art appraiser-consultant) - curator dated 4/30/09 stating phenomenal casting to determine the authenticity, age, usage, patina, etc. However from the one small photo I would venture to say that it is of phenomenal beautiful and a rare mask of extreme importance. Also, the raffia beard also appears to be very old.I will evaluate the mask assuming that it is a brass casting, and old and genuine -as it seems to be.Value: $60,000 Provenance:Gift of Arthur B. Steinman / 1999
