Description : Egypt, Ca. 525-30 BC. A heavy gold spiral snake arm ring, terminating with a tapered loop tail and opposing moulded snake head with one remaining blue sapphire or glass inset eye. A fantastic example of Egyptian jewellery featuring a copper core with very thick and entirely preserved 22/23 carat gold sheet. Excellent condition and wearable. Size: L:50mm / W:85mm , 34.59g Provenance: Property of a London Ancient Art gallery, formerly private NYC collection. Ex. Florida collection, acquired at Sotheby’s Arcade, NYC, 1980’s. This item has been checked against the Art Loss Register database.
