Er versuchte, diese Antikensammlung an Frankreich zu verkaufen, aber schließlich kaufte sie der König von Preußen. Das Ensemble bildete den Kern der ägyptischen Sammlungen des Berliner Museums. - Teils unaufgeschnitten. Vereinzelt braunfleckig, einige wenige Seiten mit kleinem Wasserfleck. Letzte Lage eselsohrig. Ill. orig. paperback (somewhat creased, spine browned). - First edition. - Catalogue of the private collection of Joseph Passalacqua, which he assembled through private excavations in Egypt between 1822 and 1825 and exhibited in Paris at 12 Rue des Filles-Saint-Thomas. He tried to sell this collection of antiquities to France, but it was eventually bought by the King of Prussia. The ensemble formed the core of the Berlin Museum's Egyptian collections. - Partly untrimmed. Occasional brown spotting, a few pages with small water stain. Last layer dog-eared. Overall well preserved.
