Description : Ancient Egypt, New Kingdom/Third Intermediate Period, ca. 1550 to 712 BCE. A pair of scarabs, both pierced laterally for suspension. The larger is faience, with its lower body depicting a seated figure of a god. The smaller is a glazed steatite scarab with protective symbols of Men-Ra-Maat on the base.
