Description : [ Medals ] Four: Captain J. I. Greenhead, King's African Rifles, late Scots Guards Queen's South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Cape Colony, Transvaal, Wittebergen (1605 Cpl., Scots Gds.), King's South Africa 1901-02, 2 clasps (1605 Serjt., Scots Guards), British War and Victory Medals, M.I.D. Oakleaf (Capt.) first two with contact marks, good fine, others good very fine (4) E80-100 Captain John Ilsley Greenhead entered the Scots Guards on 1 September 1897 and was discharged on the termination of his limited period of engagement in August 1909. Recalled for service in the Great War, he was granted a commission in the 3rd King's African Rifles. Sold with some copied research, M.I.D. not confirmed.
