Description : Middle Bronze Age, Ca. 1850-1550 BC. A slender alabaster vase with subtle curvature and delicate veining on its surface. Alabaster was highly regarded in ancient Egypt for its translucency and was used to create various ceremonial objects, to symbolise the connection between the earthly and divine realms. Item comes with a professional historical report from Ancient Report Specialists. Size: L:165mm / W:70mm , 950g Provenance: Property of a central London gallery, ex. NYC art market, formerly in Curtis Katz collection, NYC, 1968-1969, obtained from Veracruzana Corp in the 1970's. Originally with Edward H. Merrin Gallery.
