Description : Kifwebe Mask in carved softwood, Songye/Luba peoples, Bantu ethnic, Democratic Republic of Congo, a mask used for the Bwadi bra Kifwebe secret society, this being the female version (kikashi), having overall incisions filled with kaolin clay, holes on edge for fibre cloak, collector's marks on the inside. 19 1/2 x 11 x 7 1/2. Very good condition.
