Ghana
The Akan people reside in the southern areas of the former Gold Coast region in what is now the nation of Ghana.
On the lid stands a straight male figure, well-proportioned with arms stretched out and decorated with bracelets. This vessel used to contain precious objects and was sometimes placed in the grave next to the person who owned it.
