Provenance : From the collection of Caroline & Marshall Ward Mount, New Jersey. Mr. Mount is a renowned author & expert on African Art. Their collection of both African arts and European arts was assembled mainly in the 1960's through 1980's. Mr. Mount wrote the first book on African Contemporary Arts in 1973 (African Art, the Years Since 1920) and continues to teach at NYU.
