This is the rating and price for Framed Egyptian Polychrome Cartonnage Collar, 2013

Description : Egypt, Late Dynastic to Ptolemaic Period, ca. 664 to 30 BCE. A gessoed cartonnage broad collar of a semicircular form. Fifteen concentric semicircles hang between the top panel, each with an alternating base color and filled with repeating frets, triangles, petite flowers, checkered patterns, circles, or fan-shaped motifs in hues of crimson, sapphire-blue, olive-green, teal, cream, and beige. Centered along the top are five palm fronds in blue and green colors, and the bottom rung exhibits several lotus blooms with petite buds in-between. A painted amulet in the middle of the collar displays three prominent figures: Osiris on the right, falcon-headed Ra in the middle, and Isis with her throne-shaped headdress on the middle-left, the far left 'figure' depicts a simple column with a curved headdress. Each figure sits with raised arms holding thin scepters. A marvelous and colorful example of Egyptian funerary tradition! Mounted within a display frame.
