Description : African Tribal Art: Efomba Reliquary Figure, Ngata People, Congo/Zaire, Early/Mid Twentieth Century. Carved wood, pigments, hair, metal, fiber, beads. Referred to as Bonganga or Efomba, this form of sculpture was commissioned by a person of high rank during his lifetime.
