Description : [ Tribal Art ] Ashanti, Ghana Drei Goldgewichte Gelbguss, langsrechteckiges Kastchen mit Deckel, sowohl mit Ornamenten, als auch mit plastischen Vogelfiguren beschnitzt, zwei weitere Gewichte mit plastischen Figuren in Form von Vogeln, tlw. leicht korrodiert, noch bis zum Anfang des letzten Jahrhunderts war Goldstaub die Wahrung des Landes. Bei jedem Kauf oder Verkauf musste dieser Goldstaub abgewogen werden, wozu man neben Naturgewichten (Samen, Muscheln, Knochen etc.) auch Metallgewichte, die heute sogenannten Goldgewichte verwendete Three goldweights cast yellow alloy, rectangular small box with lid, decorated with ornaments and bird figures, two further weights with bird figures, partly slightly corroded, to the beginning of the last century gold dust was the currency of the country.
