Description : West Africa, Central Mali, Dogon peoples, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A gorgeous and wearable ring formed from iron wire that twists dozens of times before smoothing and tapering to form the terminals. The twisted wire shank coils around itself nearly six times and features an integral central suspension loop with a folded iron strip ornament dangling within. A wearable ring covered in lustrous patina.
