Condition report : Overall the work appears to be in very good condition for an object for this type and age. The proper right ear of the figure to the back of the pair is missing, as visible in the catalogue illustration. The other one has been broken and glued. Inspection under a UV light reveals no other sign of restoration or repair. The incised carving on the necks and horns are very well preserved. Beautiful thick black patina, encrusted in places.
