Description : Property of Ron Krannich, Savannah, GA Description: Carved Wood Drum, Papua New Guinea and Two African Drums, a carved wood drum from Papua New Guinea, with snake skin head and straw braid detailing, animal form carvings down one side and etched decoration in the body of the drum, together with two Makonde (Mozambique) drums, the smaller pointed drum with NAMBWENGA carved into it near the top, the other of hollow carved wood with woven rope around bottom. Provenance: purchased from African Image, Cape Town, South Africa, March 2002. Measurements: Height: of tallest 41 in. x Width: 5 in. Condition: Overall good condition, general wear and scratches, surface dust. Notice to bidders: The absence of a condition report does not imply that the lot is in perfect condition or completely free from wear and tear, imperfections, or the conditions of aging. Complete condition reports are available by request, no later than 24 hours prior to the live auction.
