The Bwa people, also known as Bobo Ule, carved masks which represent protective bush spirits. this mask was carved to represent SU, a bush spirit. The mask is danced in village festivals honoring harvests, births, weddings, funerals etc. Condition good, with scuff marks and few dings. Total Height 29'' W. 10'' D. 8 1/2''.
