This is the rating and price for Beautiful Luba Pipe, 2009.0

Description : Beautiful Luba Pipe Democratic Republic of the Congo Pipes are commonly used by the Luba and their neighbors to cut the sharpness of tobacco that may not be cured very long, if at all. The Luba have taken the practicality of an object ― in this case a pipe ― as a platform for layers of symbolic meaning. A pipe with a beautiful seated female figure supporting her breasts in typical Luba iconography. This gesture evokes the respect for the role of women in their society as mothers and as the ones to whom the Luba trace their ethnic lineage. This pipe is characterized by its highly elaborate and well-tended figure, which is also enriched by the intense plasticity of the harmoniously proportioned anatomical parts.
