Wheel-made and brightly painted, with an extravagant profile formed by a series of torus-like moldings, the upper zone decorated with a frieze of applied figures, with five nude girls each offering florals before four pairs of Hathor-headed columns flanking a now-missing third motif 17 in. (43.2 cm) high PROVENANCE Antiquities, Christie's New York, 13 June 2000, lot 221.
