The four-headed ram deity representing the four forms of Banebdjedet of Mendes, 2.5cm wide Provenance: The Harer Family Trust Collection, acquired 28 February 2011. Joel Malter Collection, Los Angeles, acquired in the 1960s and 1970s. Accompanied by a copy of the Harer Collection index card. Literature: For a similar example, cf. C. Andrews, Amulets of Ancient Egypt, London, 1994, fig. 41f, there is also a related lapis example in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, acc. no. 26.7.894.
