Description : AN EGYPTIAN GLAZED COMPOSITION WINGED SCARAB Late Period, Circa 664 - 332 B.C. Formed of three separate elements, the body and two wings are perforated for attachment and have later been mounted onto a metal frame, the details of the beetle's body and the feathers of the wings incised, 12.5cm total diameter. Provenance: Property from the collection of Rockford College, acquired in the 19th century, Ex Leslie Hindman 9 November 2006, Private collection of a lady, Rome.
