This is the rating and price for Amulet Of The God Bes

Description : Amulet of the god Bes. Ancient Egypt, Late Antique (722-332 BC). Fayenza. Measurements: 4.5 x 2.3 x 1.2 cm. This amulet is made of Egyptian glazed faience, a ceramic material with a vitreous exterior finish, which was widely used in Ancient Egypt for making small statues, amulets and other decorative motifs. It takes the form of the god Bes, an ancient Egyptian deity worshipped as the protector of the home and, more especially, of mothers, children and childbirth. He is depicted in art as a dwarf genie, bearded and with long hair, often showing his tongue. He is usually nude or dressed in a lion's skin, and may be depicted with a large erect phallus, due to his association with love and sexual pleasure.
