This is the rating and price for African Kuba Wooden Cup

Description : Central Africa, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Kuba peoples, ca. early to mid-20th century CE. A beautiful hand-carved wooden palm-wine cup with a solid triangular foot, a tapered lower body, a slightly corseted upper body, and a thin rim surrounding the deep interior cavity. The top of the tiered foot is embellished with lightly scalloped grooves, with the lower body exhibiting hundreds of pecked stippling marks, and the upper body displaying repeating panels of linear, stippled, and X-shaped motifs. Wealthy men would commission elaborate and elegant cups like this example from local artisans to show the prestige of their family, and the density of the exterior design was indicative of the rough amount spent.
