Description : Property from the Estate of David Rapkin Description: African Bronze Pestle, Wood Male Figure and Slingshot Figure, comprising a bronze pestle with carved figure (5 1/2 in.), a carved wood standing male figure (9 1/2 in.) and a carved wood female figure slingshot (10 in.), probably Lobi, Burkina Faso, all with associated bases. Provenance: Exhibted African Art in Unlikely Places: The David Rapkin Collection, University of Nebraska, Eisentrager-Howard Gallery, 2012. Measurements: Height: of slingshot, 10 in. x Width: 2 7/8 in. x Depth: 1 1/4 in. Condition: Overall good condition, pitting and oxidation to bronze, general surface wear and light age cracking to wood figures, light wear to bases.
